Another guest Editorial from Geoff.

Foreign Affairs
Dear Mr. President and the Secretary of State.....a little commonsense.

1. When dealing with Russia, one must remember one thing. The Russians rely on bluff and huff. Let them scream, yell and threaten. The idea is to look them right in the eye and say....NO. It makes them crazy. it is a regime that is rife with corruption, repression and uses nuclear weapons as a chess piece to intimidate. It has a declining population and a high em migration rate.By using a "Reset Button" we have given them a great propaganda victory and shows our allies that we are weak. As was well stated..."HOW DO YOU SPELL RUSSIA...KGB" Only a fool would make an old Cold War arms treaty...when we should have said "NO" to placing missile systems on ships. We shamed ourselves before the eyes of some of our best allies. Those allies understand the Russians all to well.
2. Europe is now a nation of police forces. Britain and France will have navies the size of Belgium's. Britain and France now lack any carriers or an ability to project its troops to other fronts. Both Britain and France maintain nuclear forces for prestige. The EU is a repressive Left bureaucracy that has weakened Western Europe and has insulted the Turks so badly..they have joined the great game and are linked to anti-American regimes. My recommendation is to exit NATO and form a defensive pact with Britain and Germany...who is also destroying its proud army.
My idea is to form an Eastern Locarno, pact. Said Pact would comprise the U.S, Poland, the Czechs, any independent state of the former Soviet Union. If it were not for the stupidity of the EU and the end of the former Kama lists, we now have an ally in name locking itself more to the side of Persia and it's Satraps. Turkey seeks to sucker us into placing our weapons there, but only if we give then our military secrets. It would be a boon for Persia and Russia.
3. Give up this charade of Middle East negotiations. The Palestinians are a pawn and are considered inferior, a source of cheap labor and distract the people of Dictatorships to the rot that is their existences. The frightened Arab regimes remained silent when Israel bombed Syria's nuclear reactor.
4. The power in Afghanistan is primarily the Opium war lords and the ancient clans. Any king that sought to govern were murdered. Karzi only rule s a part of Kabul and is as dishonest as Diem, Chang Kai Shek and Sygman Rhee. All were despised. Karzi takes money from us and the Taliban. His removal and another general election would show our fight for good government. The clans should be viewed as autonomous mini states. This status should be guaranteed by respect of their ways and allying ourselves in order to provide mutual security.
5. Pakistan has never been our friend and uses us as a bull-work against India. Pakistan's main power is its anti-American security services. It's army is worthless and fights while the security services finances the governments enemies. Pakistan is a failed state rife with competing agendas and like Persia seeks to make it a puppet state based on opium and terrorism.. Those same terrorists that are tearing the country apart.
5. While we wring our hands at North Korea and Persia having the bomb, we only have about 25,000. They know that one MIRV will exterminate both nations and irradiate the Middle East, Russia and China. Most of Persia is in a state of rebellion and North Korea has most of it's army squished against the DMZ. The slave state exists by the enabling of Russia and especially China. We also enable their behavior by bribing them with oil and food. Let them starve...and show strength.

I leave China for another time. Economically and militarily this can be a book and I do not wish to cannibalize this Blog. . I just sought to throw out a few examples. I fear my writing, for our, short sighted, president is cutting back on an insufficient military that has trouble projecting it self as it is. The world as constructed, smells our weakness and are ready to pounce like rabid dogs upon the flesh of failed states...desperate for protection. Who would have imagined that we are closer to Vietnam than South Korea. The younger generation has not listened to their elders....who remember.

I understand the war going on within for the souls of Americans within our blessed nation, but with out reason and power...all can be for naught. I dismiss the far Left who seek to turn this nation into a Socialist third world nation and hope the patriotic Tea Party Movement will also fight to maintain our military and fight for a tough foreign policy.Do not let our government provide the rope to hang us.Both parties must be warned...their game is coming to an end.

I am going to have a cup of tea.....Geoff

Another guest editorial by Geoff

The Workers Paradise

1. Two generations of a family living in 2 rooms. Bathroom and kitchen are communal

2. Rampant food shortages due to lack of incentive for farmers to produce. Food is sent to urban areas in order to keep the peace. Super taxes on rural peasants....shuttering of communal farms and importation of food.

3. A stagnant bureaucracy only concerned with place holding and a royalist mentality by the bosses.

4. An aristocratic life style for high party members, while the citizenry lives a life of slave wages and are imprisoned by slogans and entitlements. They are called free, but are maintained by high taxes and cheap labor.

5.. No innovation, save the military, for the governments are afraid of any possible assaults upon their privileges. Obscene monuments to celebrate the glory of their leaders and the covering up of their blunders.

6. A Socialist nation maintains its cohesion through the secret police, rigged courts, physical terror and the camps.

7. Waiting on long lines to buy a few bits of inferior food.

8. Unless goaded, the people are taught that what goes on in the seat of government is none of their affair. The people are clay and are useful for fraudulent demonstrations of devotion. They act like holy rollers during a spiritual revival..

9. Socialist nations tend to try and keep people in. If there is free travel, except the powerful or a true believer, they tend to defect.

10; Leftist bomb throwers, with cults of personality are their best allies. There bluff and bluster.coupled with military threats scare free nations which then appease. This policy can backfire in cases of a Mao, Nasser, and the Assad dynasty.

11. Socialist imperial policy towards its propped up puppets is to purchase raw materials at cheap prices and export back expensive cheap, inferior goods. This results in rebellion such as in 1953 E. Germany due to food shortages and Solidarity in Poland to fight for true workers rights.

12. The need for a strong military force to keep down discontent. Supporting brutal repression of dissent in allied states. The use of proxy troops to carry out military operations.

13. Fraudulent elections backed by a phony Democratic Constitution.

14. The glorification of mass murderers such as Che Guevara, Mao, Castro and the Kim dynasty.

The results of a Menshevik state.

The economic collapse of Western Europe due to mass entitlements and the mushrooming of government agencies.
Sweden having the highest suicide rate in Europe.
People quitting jobs, because they know the state will support them.
The dole taxes away innovation. That is why Cisco Systems moved here from Germany.
Paper work and corporate nepotism in some industries retard development. J
obs, pensions and employment for life, can undermine the state as in France and Greece.
Riots begin to take the place of reason and rational policy.
Entities such as the European Union deny sovereignty and seek to create a single minded polity from states with little in common historically. This leads to a common currency, more bureaucrats and multinational courts.
This Democratic form of the Eastern Bloc will lead to a shifting of elites and the gutting of countries trying to maintain untenable layers of lifetime employment....yet unemployment is high due to the inability to hire younger people and alter corporate culture.

We in our Federal Republic have made many mistakes, both domestic and foreign. Yet our way of life, culture, and innovation has made our nation great. We have tended to attract the best and the brightest. We are now swinging 180 degrees in the other direction. Those who live in free nations are often taken in by frauds who promise heaven. As the worker in China and Vietnam strive for a better life.....our Socialists want to give the people the existence that others, except the elites, seek to flee from. We drink Tea and they drink Kool Aid.

A guest posting by Geoff

I know many readers enjoyed the guest pieces by Geoff.
Here is his latest

"Exit Strategy and Wold War 2"

1941......Fire side chat with President Obama

"My fellow Americans....in order to maintain the peace, I have decided to sign an economic concordat with the Japanese Empire. This I hope will facilitate a withdrawal from China.

From our extensive profits accrued from trade, I will be able to balance the budget and declare peace in our time.
We shall export grain, scrap metal, oil and 100 P-40 Fighters as a sign of good faith.
I address the opposition who accuse our allies of opium smuggling and mass murder. Vice President Biden has assured me that this all propaganda foisted on the citizenry by warmongers on both sides of the aisle.
I shall not tolerate those people blocking my "Non-Aggression Pact and Trade Deal " with Germany and Italy. I denounce France and Britain for denying the very fair terms offered by the Reich Chancellor Hitler. I denounce both for occupying land settled by people of color and expecting them to fight a phony crusade. I shall not support nor aid their imperialism!".The British policy in India and Ireland is no different than the evils perpetrated by Soviet Russia. I call on Comrade Stalin to make peace and save lives, being taken needlessly. I would also like to announce that the Ambassadors to Britain, France and Russia have been detained for war crimes.

Address to Congress.....Dec. 23rd 1942
"Now I hear protests due to the Pearl Harbor incident, but that was due to our not respecting Japanese economic needs and they were driven to desperation. I apologize to Japan and am looking forward to a new era of cooperation. I hope for the same peace granted to Germany and Russia in 1939. Poland was destroyed due to its hubris and Imperialism. We should take note and learn. Due to Poland's arrogance, they have forced the German's, our friends to invade I hereby support Germany in their battle against Soviet repression of minorities. My hope is that all the warring nations will see the advantages of peace and create a new "League of Nations" in order to respect the "New World Order" I further denounce the rumors of Concentration Camps. They serve as education centers and summer camps for German youth.
]In the name of peace I have dispatched Charles Lindbergh to Germany to cement our mutual commitment to peace.
In the name of peace and further cooperation, I have turned over the Philippines to Japan and support their freeing the long suffering people of French Indo-China and British controlled Thailand.
To aid the Germans in their crusade, I have instructed our patriotic corporations and Farmers to aid the Germans by sending grains, cereals, oil, scrap, winter clothing, trucks and other war materials.

Just a thought.......... Guest Editorial by Geoff

Hey,

I was doing some thinking, hard to believe, about the way the President rules. It is interestingly closer to a Monarchy than a Republic.

Who rule?s By their own pronouncements, the President''s cabinet almost appears like a facade. Hillary Clinton's appointment was a payoff in return for paying her campaign debts. He humiliated Paul Volcker. and stuffs far left anti-Americans into positions of power. Mere cyphers who carry out the orders in lock step to maintain his carnival Monarchy.. Although, while he fiddles, Congress may turn against him and like the Czars of Russia must seek new enemies to blame.

Who really rules? Behind the Cabinet there is a troika of Czars, ad visors without portfolio and a host of fawning bureaucrats standing behind the Ministers. It reminds me of 19Th and 20Th century Monarchies forced to provide a pseudo legislature to satisfy the mobs.

Seeing as the President has trouble making decisions...he tosses legislation into Congress, and despite falling poll numbers, seeks to see what he can get away with or blame the most vulnerable. He is very astute at using true believers, media, and the bully pulpit in order to search for enemies. Fox News, your Rush and Sarah,, and independents such as Joe Lieberman..

This is a President who seeks to twist the worst of Joe, the drunk, McCarthy and J.Edger Hoover's dirty tricks. More than 5 Presidents tried to get rid of him. All they did was black
mail each other. He also inverts the old Bourbon use of Letters DE Cachet. However, instead of the Bastille he uses them to form lists of enemies to keep both left and right at each others throats as a distraction..

He might be the most dangerous, incompetent man to occupy the White House. his inaugural was more a coronation than an inauguration. He has been running for his 2ND term before he took the oath. George Wallace who loved campaigning and was bored by governing would have been impressed by the President's use of code, blame, and drama. He learned well.

Any protest against his awful cabinet is a distraction, one must go and fight the Lord Privy Council. He bows before Kings while fawning patsies and fellow travelers bow to him in the American fashion. The press, vilification, and propaganda. G=D help the children and the wallet in all of the citizens pockets full of worthless paper.

Just a thought....Geoff

Dear Mr. President,

1. Just as no American can not accept a Knight Hood, no President should ever bow to a Monarch. Nor should a President hug a Queen. such actions go against one of the causes of our Revolution.
2. In Japan the depth of the bow is a determiner of respect and obeisance. At one time subjects would prostrate themselves along the Emperor's route of travel. Your bow was too low and bordered on, in the modern sense, your being a subject of the Emperor.
3. Your bow to the tyrant of Saudi Arabia was an insult to our citizenry and made yourself look like a fool in the Arab world. The House of Saud is primarily a creation of the 19Th century. and finances those who kill our soldiers.
4. Despite the Queen's smile. He made a mockery of Royal Etiquette and acted in a way no President would have ever countenanced.
5. By committing such acts may appear as being respect, but they are actually an insult to the many Americans who emigrated here to escape such things.
6. A King never bows to another King unless said Monarch is an an appendage or below the rank of said King. Thus the King of Judea, a puppet of the Emperor of Rome would bow and pay tribute. During Medieval times the weaker King of England was technically above the stronger King of France who was considered a vassal of the King of England.. That one resulted in centuries of war. Part of the peace with France under Elizabeth the Great, forgive me if I named wrong Sovereign, was the renunciation of ceasing to use the term "Queen of England, France and the Isles...Ireland"
7. Before World War One when the Kaiser met the Czar to avoid war there was no bowing.
8. When Napoleon elevated, France's long term ally, Bavaria from a Grand Duchy to a Monarchy. there was no bowing. When Germany was unified by Prussia, the morass of Kings did not bow to one another..
9. Mr. President you are a Leader, well not really, not a Satrap, a Tributary, or an Ambassador. In the Monarchic sense you are behaving like a groveling petty Knight begging for table scraps.
10. I advise less cliches and more education. There is respect and there is groveling and weakness.

I know this will go no where, but to dishonor ones self and your nation by bowing before a former enemy and a petty potentate is humiliating. Yet you spurn the Dali Llama and show weakness to China. China says thanks......your actions defile our great Constitution. you must learn how an Occidental Monarchy functions as opposed to a Western one.

Your actions would have destroyed Prime Ministers and even would have caused the Monarch to abdicate. A HINT. Civil Wars and Revolutions have occurred because of such irresponsibility, in the past. As George the 3rd's Dowager Queen Mother urged..." Be a King George, be a King,"

Mr. President....be a President. You would be a laughing stock amongst the wits of Rome.
Cannon and resolve beat bowing anytime.......an American loving Royalist.

Guest Editorial By Geoff

40,000 Men.....what does it mean?
President Reagan understood both Tactical and Strategic. He stated with much wisdom that "GOOD FENCES MAKE GOOD NEIGHBORS" He also realized that there can be no peace without cannon. I miss that guy.

I only mean to use this as an allegory. Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan are apples and oranges. Due to the needs of domestic policy soldiers in Vietnam were rotated home at a faster rate by the year. The main result was the loss of an acclimated soldiery used to the horrid conditions of the jungles and the effective methods of the V.C. Thus green troops and officers would replace blooded troops accustomed to combat conditions and the result would be heavy casualties.. By the time the fresh troops were accustomed to their environment their tours tended to end. Domestic politics and the short sightedness of General Westmoreland locked into the myth of the decisive battle, for his eyes saw not Vietnam, but the Russians in Central Europe.

What is 40,000 men...about 3 divisions including auxiliary and independent combat units. Where are these troops coming from? Are they being transferred from Iraq or are they fresh levies from home? Given our tactical position and the lack of strategic concept, more than likely casualties will spike Veterans from Iraq will be walking into a completely different environment .with preconceived ideas. Fresh troops with no combat experience facing a hackneyed insurgency, plus insane sorties into Pakistan will suffer greatly. We have sacrificed the big picture in exchange for a heavier reliance on technology and to placate the citizenry, and the misunderstanding of the campaign by a lost Joint Chiefs. Over reliance on Drones and Special Forces disregards an elementary military maxim. There must be troops to occupy space. This is a conflict where we must look to the tactics of Mao and General Giap rather than technical manuals. While trying to mollify public fears, we only create more casualties. This cannot be a war of over stretched garrisons and isolated strong points. We are cannibalizing our own troops. If that is the case we might as well resort to the concept of Strategic Hamlets. This caused hatred for the British during the Boer War and fueled the causes of our enemies in Vietnam and Central America.

After repeated assaults against an isolated fire base we withdrew.. Our enemies and those sitting on the fence are watching. There is a method to establishing a secure fire base and that example was at Khe Sanh. After the failure of Operation Typhoon, the attack on Moscow in 1941, the front was a jagged mess and isolated German units, well supplied, fought on despite repeated Soviet attempts to dislodge them. Isolated for a time, until reinforced by airborne forces, our troops held out magnificently against the last gasp of the German army in the west during the Battle of the Bulge.

Sadly some of our tactics remind me of the Italians in 1940. They placed their forts and bases so far apart that they were isolated and incapable of supporting one another. Leaving them as tempting tidbits for hit and run attacks, or an attempt at a full blown assault. We rely so heavily on air power that our planes become ground down by too many sorties, too few aircraft, and the weapons begin to show immense wear and tear.

What General Washington did to the British and what the V.C. did to us amounts to somewhere between tag and Ringo-Levio. The question begs....what do we really occupy? We support a corrupt useless President who has an army wedded to corruption. We have learned nothing from spending all we did to buck up the regular infantry of A.R.V.N and the K.M.T. Because of the weakness of the central government in Islamabad and the fickleness of the border tribes, our new Ho Chi Minh road has become a death trap. Wedded to roads so narrow and cliffs so steep our by the book tactics have resulted in a disaster. Sadly once again our tactics do not meet certain realities. We do not dig deeply enough into Pakistani politics or the social mores of the tribesmen of both nations. Not everyone wants to be an American and we cannot make decisions based on preconceived notions. The people must decide how they want to be governed. Sadly the ones that suffer the most are the women who are no better than slaves.

We must accept we cannot occupy the entire nation. It is ruled by a conglomeration of clans and opium warlords. They are only our friends when it suits them. Armies who tend to enter the bad lands of Pakistan and Afghanistan tend not to return. We have thus far been the most successful , because we are not conquerors . The disconnect between Tactical and over all Strategic needs are as distant as both banks of the Missouri River. Our main enemies are at this point are a noxious stew of varying cells. The propaganda of our victories using Drones and Special forces, which have done a great job, cover up the failures of senior commanders to seek the advice of field commanders. Our Leaders in Washington have become map top Generals and the C.I.A. again needs to be over hauled. I have great respect for our Commander, but he to is relying on the failed tactic of reinforcements to makeup for poor decision making. I still ask....What are those troops to do? Endless search and destroy missions? Replacements for thinned out units? I wish I knew.

I give a warning.....

1. 40,000 men will not improve conditions on the ground. The situation is very different than Iraq. the people are different and the political climate as fragile as it is..
2. Vice President Biden's wanting to rely on Special Forces and Drones to hunt terrorists will be in the end self defeating. It is a 21st century version of what J.F.K wanted to do in Vietnam. It will be viewed as weakness and we will be fighting shadows while the real problems escalate. We will end up making empty treaties which we know will never be kept. Our populace will be comforted in the notion that our troops are home, but to their consternation, will see the world has gotten worse.
3. President Obama is already sinking into his mental morass. If it does not fit into my world view....than the world has to change. He runs to Copenhagen, is embarrassed again, trying to payoff Mayor Daley's machine and gives a Commander 25 minutes to discuss a conflict vital to our interests. The Russians and Chinese must be smiling, for they are both fighting Muslim insurgencies. He is even retreating on his troop pledge.. He is a failure who would prefer a League of Nation solution. He seeks to make the Afghans into the 21st century Czechs.....he already did it on missile defense. Although, no one knows if those interceptors even work. .

Huffing and a Bluffing
A few comments on the worlds scene

A little allegory before I begin my ramble. in 1936, American military planners considered their main enemy to be Great Britain. The bulk of its war planning revolved around invading Canada. As we aided Japan and Germany in building themselves up, we were deluding ourselves with invading Canada. The last time the U.S and the U.K nearly went to war was in the 1890's over, I believe, fishing rights.

As an Historian, one of my favorite comedians, Benito Mussolini used tactics that are being used today to separate us from our real problems with bluster and bluff. Americans tend to get all too involved with world leaders throwing fake tantrums in order to justify their internal problems and foreign adventures to justify a policy of booty over butter.

As I sit here clacking away, I find myself shivering with fear over North Korea's great nuclear arsenal. A MIRV can carry up to 8 Hydrogen Bombs that can project its power to 8 different targets. Now what can a Tae Dong missile do? Frighten the American public, force Japan to go nuclear, make South Korea appease more, and make China, and Russia realize there influence over their old ally is in the decline. People often forget that when a nuke is fired....there will be radiation. The economies of China and the U.S are so intermingled it may force Peking to send troops across the Yalu to restore order and the Russians to utilize their rusty navy from Vladivostok along with Japan to blockade the North, and interdict arms shipments heading to those great nations who thrive on huff and bluff ......Burma and Iran. My action, fr ought with many risks, combined with interdiction will castrate the North and expose it for what it is....a nation with a huge army and nothing else. The stated policy of the striped pants set and several Presidents have done nothing more, but maintain and build their military, and create the very conditions we live with. As for the above, that is but a dream, for even an out of control North is too useful to Russia and China.

There are many in Iran who miss the Shah. much of the nation is in rebellion, ethnic cleansing, frightened Mullahs, and the infiltration of the Revolutionary Guard into the army and security services via the use of the purge. The country is collapsing and it cannot refine its own oil and owes the Russians untold amounts of money. Another boogie man enabled by Russia and China., and whose power has been raised to almost Olympian heights by our politicians, and ratings hungry, usually poorly read, pundits. Iran uses the spread of the Shia form of Islam to try and destabilize Iraq, has made a desperate Syria a proxy, Damascus is in the process of using forced conversions to create a Shia state. Our President, like many others, fail to grasp that the Israeli- Palestinian conflict, is used as a distraction for repressed citizens, and Western Diplomats to fuss over so the real problems are avoided. Blind mans bluff...a sad result of a broken regimes bluster to hold off collapse. The Iranian people, unlike the Russians, will not starve in order to see the map of their nation expand. Iran like North Korea must be made to understand the price of such obvious brinkmanship. By carrying out the policies we are, we stand to lose the support of regimes looking to us for protection. Our weakness will just continue the stench of bribery, propaganda and surrender. The rantings of a President called mad is far from off his rocker. Those speeches are strategic and force a useless U.N. and a weak President to put off and appease instead of showing the flag. Our President did not show nearly the muscle of the bully pulpit and the planning of arming dissidents, with Russian weapons, as a first shot across the bow.Aa with North Korea, Russia and China's double dealing will eventually come back to bite them in the ass. the Chinese and Russians feel our fear and use it as a steroid. Please explain why President Sarkozy and Chancellor Angela Merkel have taken a more aggressive tone with Iran than the U.S.

I can right a thesis on this nonsense, but I felt the above two are the best examples. for the conclusion of this ramble....I conclude with a few bullet points.

President Calderon of Mexico, the first President since the Carranza Revolution of 1917, to be Pro-American, is involved in a war that is fracturing his country and can determine its fate possibly for the next 50 to 100 years..Our groovy guru in the White House concerns himself with trucks and murmurs about tariffs. How can he start in with tariffs with Mexico and Canada our 2 neighbors?

Our fine ally, President Uri be of Columbia, with our help, has beaten back the Farc and the Narco-Terrorists. Yes..he must reign in certain problems with labor and right wing militias, but the people's lives would be far worse being ruled by the reverse. Once again our Guru chooses Chavez and his ilk to use him as a propaganda tool while he wrings his hands and states "Can't we just play nice together." once again, as with our surrender to the Russians in Eastern Europe, he does nothing while the Russian navy visits Cuba and pours arms into Venezuela where they are dispatched to our enemies. Our President opts for photo ops with a dictator.

I finish with Honduras. Those brave people chase out a President, Zelaya, a Chavez want to be and our President condemns the Honduran government. President Zelaya is looking to follow the path of "El Loco" and the nation is fighting off protests from mislead citizens. Our President again backs Zelaya instead of maintaining a free state attempting to defend itself. We have deserted another ally. We are, like in other continents, losing the battle of trust and respect.

THE PRICE OF WEAKNESS. THE PRICE OF ACCOMMODATING HUFF AND BLUFF. All our President offers is fluff. There is a big marsh mellow roast going on and we are the marshmallow..

A nation ruled by a Guru and Czars, combined with a bankrupt State Department....is a brew seeking only defeat renamed accommodation. The real mantra should be "Tribute from the cannons mouth?

Common Sense
Geoff
Whether one lives in a Democracy or in a Federal Republic, freedom can only be maintained by our strength and intelligence capabilities. Internal battles are part of our culture and pride in self expression. This expression has led to a Civil War and the collapse of several political party's.. This nation inherited the English's dislike of standing armies. Yet our oceans have shrunk into ponds and WW 2 showed the English how tiny the Channel is.

The secret ballot, the 2 party system and our Bill of Rights are only opiates, dreams to much of the world. Yet we seek to squander the wanton beauty of our nation with internecine squabbles . That is fine, but nothing can be truly accomplished internally if the sea and air corridors are not maintained. This is an issue of Guns over Butter or the reverse. We are making a horrible error by trying to maintain both. This happened to President Johnson in Vietnam and President Nixon in Vietnam. Combine that with the expenditures on the Cold War and the Great Society and we have a ticking time bomb.

Elections and Domestic politics have become so intertwined,, along with political ambition, to cause ideology and obfuscation to warp Geopolitical, and domestic needs of our nation.During the elections of the 1950's and 1960 we were told of Bomber and Missile gaps that did not exist. The result was an arms race that led to Soviet supremacy by the 70's. Presidents were forced to balance foreign and domestic in ways that were detrimental to the nation. The end result were the disasters of the Carter and Obama administrations. Harry Truman stated that the only way to force Americans to deal with the Soviets and the formation of the National Security state was to scare the populace to death. This lead to the unintended consequence of the gaps and Vietnam. It gave sway to the MacArthur's, Admiral Radford and the Curtis Lemay's in our military. In 1958, many in our military felt that this was our best opportunity to launch a first strike...Eisenhower thankfully vetoed such insanity. As a Cold War hawk, I feel he made the correct decision.

I regard the world situation as W.W 4. The forces of order and sanity in this country must put down their ideological pettiness and place nation over opinion. If we are rendered or considered weak, ideology is irrelevant. The ballot will be one of fear not national pride. To pick this man as a war time President is a national tragedy. Thank G-D during the election of 1864, forgive me if the year is off, to reelect Lincoln over the defeatist, Pro Southern, egotist General McClellan .

Dictators, frauds pirates can not be negotiated with by starting with the idea of accommodation. Negotiations with no demands leads us down the path of defeat and a form of "Sit Down" war. This nation squabbles within, while we are mocked abroad. This combined with Joint Chiefs about 2 wars behind is a stew reeking of the stench of .delusion and selective blindness. We cannot cherry pick the truth.

Americans are tough, strong, innovative and can handle a shift from consumerism to restoring our place as keepers of the example of liberty. That is our greatest gift to the world. Take a good look at the world and the Chinese controlling our economy and think " What Should Be Done" If our populace remains strong and resolute...we will not be looked at as a "STRAW GIANT" We must end this denial and prepare for what no one sane wishes to prepare for. I refuse to let it all fall apart, for I love it too much as do the followers of the Y/P. Grant's slogan when he ran for office was "Let us have peace". Yet he also knew when absolute peace was untenable.

In 1928 the Kellogg-Briand Treaty was signed outlawing war. This treaty was absurd and would be irrelevant, if the world were peaceful. I feel that by the notion of no preconditions or show of strength our President is allowing our nation to drift back to the dream of 1928. It is time for all citizens concerned with our nation to sacrifice in order, for our institutions and future generations to have what we all worked for.

May G-D always bless America.....
