Bill Shirley is Augusta Chair

Bill Shirley was unopposed in the run for Augusta Republican Chair, probably due to $100 filing fee.Just over 100 people signed up to join ACRC even with $10 fee.77 people are going to 6th District Convention.

Bill made a speech. Lots of stuff about "truth to light".
He apparently is not a big fan of RPV.
Richard Crouse,political director of the RPV was present, but not acknowledged.
Acting RPV Chair, Mike Thomas was similarly treated last.
Bill also came out for Danny Goad for the 6th District Chair

The Sheriff was at Augusta Mass Meeting with his deputies

There were a bunch of Randy Fisher's Deputies at the Mass meeting too.
I heard reports of 6 deputies.
I think there might have been a tad overstated.
Were they there to support Randy?
Or were they worried about invading Democrats?
Or were they worried about something else?

NASA’s temperature data is so woeful that James Hansen’s colleague Reto Ruedy told the USA Today weather editor:
“My recommendation to you is to continue using … CRU data for the global mean [temperatures]. “What we do is accurate enough we have no intention to compete with either of the other two organizations in what they do best.”

NASA’s temperature data is worse than the East Anglia CRU Climategate temperature data. According to NASA.
NASA GISS is just “basically a modeling group forced into rudimentary analysis of global observed data.”

CORRECT PROCEDURE: When preparing to hit a recovery shot from a sand bunker (or water hazard), make sure to keep the club elevated. The bottom of the club is not allowed to touch the sand, the surface of the water, or any area of ground inside the hazard.

BALTIMORE - The father of a Marine killed in Iraq and whose funeral was picketed by anti-gay protesters from Kansas was ordered to pay the protesters' appeal costs, his lawyers said Monday.

On Friday, Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ordered Snyder to pay $16,510 to Fred Phelps. Phelps is the leader of Topeka's Westboro Baptist Church, which conducted protests at Marine Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder's funeral in 2006.

There is a fund to help pay for the costs. I don't know the legitimacy of the fund, but if you are interested...

An Egyptian excavation team has made a new discovery at Karnak during routine excavation works. A large red granite false door belonging to the tomb of Queen Hatshepsut’s vizier User and his wife Toy has been unearthed in front of the Karnak Temple.

Sean Flynn, Son of Errol, Might have been buried in Cambodian Mass Grave.

Forensic tests will be conducted on what two searchers believe are the remains of photographer Sean Flynn, son of Hollywood star Errol Flynn, who disappeared during the Cambodian War 40 years ago, the U.S. Embassy said Monday.
A jaw and femur bone that could belong to Sean Flynn were unearthed from a suspected mass grave in Cambodia's central Kampong Cham province earlier this month and have been handed to the US embassy in Phnom Penh for testing.
