Tea Party Racism Debunked?

Well it is only one study, of one event.....

UCLA graduate student Emily Ekins set out to photograph every single poster and sign at the 9/12 Taypayer March on Washington in September to see if the tens of thousands of Americans that make up the Tea Party movement are really running on racism. Ekins discovered, based on the signs, that the claims of rampant racism simply weren't true.
She says 6% of the signs were controversial. That means out of 250 signs, she found 15 that might be controversial.She has a broad definition of controversial.

I have been to a number of Tea Party events. I have seen LOTS of signs. Most have dealt with the size of government, taxes, or Obamacare. My own experience has been that I have seen a few signs that question the President's religion. I have not seen even one that dealt with the President's race. I have seen many that have been about securing our borders. None of those mentioned race or ethnicity.

It is alleged that demonstrators attacked politicians after a political event. Two people were hospitalized.
One person was immediately set upon by four of the assailants, thrown into a wrought-iron fence. Another assailant attacked the other, a female, knocking her to the ground and stomping on her leg. The young woman suffered four breaks in the leg, requiring a steel rod during extensive surgery on April 10, and faces three months of recuperation.

The duo were immediately “catcalled” by the remaining protesters, and were followed by a group of approximately five white males bearing a “counterculture” appearance. The pursuers made repeated insulting comments based largely in class-warfare rhetoric: “little blond bitch,” “you think you’re f***ing special.”
Those attacked seem to be saying it was the protesters........

If “Obamacare” is derogatory, who or what is being derogated? Is this “health care reform” being impugned by its association with Obama? Or is Obama being insulted by associating him with it? Presumably Jon Stewart is in favor of both. So where’s the disparagement? Which one is being brought down by the other?
