One "Repub" gets paid by McAuliffe for Endorsement BIG NEWS. A Dem switches to Cooch for principles...not so big

An excellent contrast that illustrate's theWashington Post's bias is how it has handled the back-to-back defections of Republican strategist Boyd Marcus and Democratic activist David  Saunders. The former is backing McAuliffe and the latter is endorsing Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli. The Post devoted stories to both men's decisions to buck the party line, but staff writer Laura Vozzella had a considerably longer piece on the front page of Metro which painted Marcus's move as a harbinger of a deeper GOP party split.........
A tale of two motives....
Marcus Boyd, one of Virginia's best-known GOP strategists, Marcus gave his own shock to political observers last month by endorsing and going to work for Terry McAuliffe, the former Democratic National Committee chairman running for governor.......

Saunders said there's no way he would take money from Cuccinelli's campaign if he decided to go further in helping them. Saunders, who identified himself as a Jacksonian Democrat, also said there are plenty of other disaffected Democrats like him, particularly in Southwest Virginia, where people who depend on the coal industry feel left behind by the Democratic Party's focus on environmental issues.

Richmond Dems Didn't Learn Obama's Lesson.

They are forgetting that
Republicans won in Virginia
Cuccinnelli and Cline in Waynesboro

According to the Richmond Times Dispatch.....State Democrats today blasted Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli’s lawsuit against the federal government over health-care reform as a “right-wing” pursuit “doomed to fail,“ and said they filed a Freedom of Information Act request to find out how much money is being spent on the action.

The Virginia Democratic Party, in their FOIA request, asked for the following:

—records of Cuccinelli and the attorney general’s office staff in preparing the suit;

—records of costs to taxpayers of staff work on the lawsuit;

—a list of conference calls or written correspondence that the attorney general’s office had with other states’ attorneys general or any national conservative groups in planning the lawsuit;

—the names of any outside firms contracted to assist on the lawsuit;

—and the attorney general’s full schedule since taking office.

Ken Cuccinelli, ultra-conservative???

And it's no surprise the pro-life plate was pushed by our new attorney general, Ken Cuccinelli who ran in last year's election on ultra-conservative issues, was a line from the NewsLeader today.....

Lets see these Ultra Conservative Issues.....
From his campaign website
I sponsored legislation to give the citizens of Virginia greater control over their personal information.
I believe that preserving public safety is the first responsibility of state government.
I sponsored successful legislation to close a loophole in Virginia law by making it a felony to blackmail someone based on their immigration status.
The right to own and keep private property was considered among the most fundamental rights by the Founding Fathers; a right that I believe should be protected at both the state and federal levels.
I will continue to support a favorable environment for starting and growing business in the Commonwealth of Virginia
I believe all taxpayers should have the right to see exactly where their tax dollars are spent so that their elected officials are held accountable for every dollar they spend.
I have a strong legislative history of working to streamline litigation, restrain punitive damages, limit non-economic damages, and eliminate the abuse of non-suits.

SUCH A BARBARIAN, A THROWBACK TO THE MIDDLE AGES ! ! !
