NewsVirginian Endorses Steve Landes.

Steve Landes

Landes knows the job, has the proper focus, operates from sounder, clearer principles and is the best candidate to ready the region for the recovery we hope soon will come. And, no small thanks to Marrow, Landes is more invigorated than ever we’ve seen him. He’s our pick in the 25th, writes the Editorial Board at NewsVirginian

They note that Steve's opponent is trying to have it both ways. He says he is fiscal conservative, but wants to increase corporate taxes. He talks about "Free Money"

Landes tells the truth. Hear right from Marrow's mouth.

I need more gas tax money to pay for alpaca pathways
LOW TAXES,BAD!!!!!!!
Raise 'EM Marrow ! ! ! !
In the NewsVirginian, Marrow said Landes’ news release is one of “spreading fear about tax increases” and is a “desperate attempt by Landes to use tired, old rhetoric to misinform and scare voters in District 25.”
Marrow's own words say "A LOW GAS TAX IS NOT IN OUR BEST INTEREST" Listen at 1:35 of clip.

Only 18 Contributions to Greg Marrow.

But Greg Marrow is loaning himself a few thousand here and there. See filings here.
It looks like he spent a lot of his money on Dan Chavez. So far he got his money's worth. He is the Dem nominee in the 25th

Steve Landes has had 192 contributors so far. See his filings here

DELEGATE LANDES TO ANNOUNCED PLANS FOR ELECTION

VERONA – Del. R. Steven Landes, R-Weyers Cave, made three stops to announce his plans for the 2009 General Election for the House of Delegates on Saturday, May 23, 2009. Landes will be traveling to three different locations to highlight initiatives important to the 25th House District.

The first announcement was at 9:30 a.m. at the King Family Vineyards, 6550 Roseland Farm, in Crozet. The wine industry is of growing importance to tourism and our economy in Virginia, and the 25th District is an ideal location for the growing number of wineries within its boundaries.

The second announcement was at 11:15 a.m. at the Waynesboro Heritage Museum, 420 West Main Street, in Waynesboro. Museums, as well as performing and fine arts centers, continue to attract tourists to the Valley which help stimulate the economy.

The final announcement was at 1:30 p.m. at Cub Run Dairy, owned and operated by Gerald Heatwole, 3943 Lawyer Road, in McGaheysville. Cub Run Dairy has put into place agricultural best management practices (BMPs) which aid in keeping our water supply clean for all of us and future generations. The 25th District is a heavy agricultural community and agriculture is still Virginia’s #1 largest industry.

Landes represents the 25th House District, which includes the City of Waynesboro, and parts of Albemarle, Augusta and Rockingham Counties. Landes was first elected in 1995 and is now serving his seventh term.
