Take a "Journey" with Bob. Go see his pics.
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Blows it Again

UN climate change panel based claims on student dissertation and magazine article
....one of the sources quoted was a feature article published in a popular magazine for climbers which was based on anecdotal evidence from mountaineers about the changes they were witnessing on the mountainsides around them.
The other was a dissertation written by a geography student, studying for the equivalent of a master's degree, at the University of Berne in Switzerland that quoted interviews with mountain guides in the Alps.

Danica Patrick to Drive Nascar, and her latest ad was BANNED.

Danica Patrick has finalized her 2010 Nationwide auto racing schedule, starting Feb. 20 with the Statler Bros. 300 at Fontana, Calif.
The IndyCar driver will compete in 12 Nationwide races for JR Motorsports, which is owned by the popular Dale Earnhardt Jr.

On Thursday, GoDaddy in a press release invited consumers to view its latest rejected ad at the company website.
"GoDaddy was one of the first advertisers who set out to capitalize on the fact that ads get rejected and that there's a PR opportunity in that," said Tim Calkins, marketing professor with Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. GoDaddy is one of the PR masters of the Super Bowl."See their latest rejected one here

It seems that Michelle Obama is getting a bad rap.

There is no one out here that dislikes what the President is doing to our country any more than myself. I have made myself very clear on a number of posts.
With that said, there is no need to for people to be posting bogus material on the First Lady.
A post making its way around emails and the internet deals with Michelle Obama's staff. You can see a copy at Snopes.com.
Yes it is true, Michelle Obama has a big staff.
But she is not alone.
You can see the 2008 White House staff here. Laura Bush had a staff of 16 listed.
According to the AP...
A look at some first ladies and their staff sizes:
—Michelle Obama: 24, according to her office.
—Laura Bush: Between 24 and 26 by end of President George W. Bush's term in 2009, according to Anita McBride, Mrs. Bush's chief of staff.
—Hillary Rodham Clinton: 13 in October 1993, rising to 19 by March 2000, according to the Clinton Presidential Library.
—Lady Bird Johnson, whose signature issue was beautifying roadways, had a staff of 30, said Stacy A. Cordery, a history professor at Montmouth College in Illinois who studies first ladies.
—Betty Ford had almost the same number.
—Jacqueline Kennedy, who made renovating the White House her cause, had about 40 people on staff, Cordery said.
Maybe we can help this disadvantaged 33 time felon???
His formula would have had zero impact and his own drug use.
Maybe he should use the "stimulus" money to stimulate jail building to keep the felons in jail? 33 felonies? He should be in jail for at least 33 years. When he gets out at 56, maybe then we will have a job for him.
They are spraying Brine. Get your car washed ! ! !

about Brine being used on roads...
The Bad
While it is claimed that the brine/salt mixture is actually more environmentally friendly, because it allows the road crews to use less salt, there is still the fact that brine itself is a chemical derived from oil and gas and not quite like spreading daisy petals over the asphalt.
The Ugly
To bring up even more ugliness, the brine mixture has also been found by Volkswagen in a recent study to accelerate the corrosion of vehicles. This has already caused multiple vehicle warranty issues in Austria, where the mixture is commonly used.
With the economy the way it is, the motor industry is naturally upset with the thought of multiple issues from customers with premature corrosion-caused suspension and body damage.

HIC!! Nancy Pelosi's Booze Bill is over 100K
Documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act by Judicial Watch, which investigates and prosecutes government corruption, show Pelosi incurred expenses of some $2.1 million for her use of Air Force jets for travelover that time. The Speaker’s military travel cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over a two-year period — $101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol.

"Speaker Pelosi has a history of wasting taxpayer funds with her boorish demands for military travel," Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said today. "And these documents suggest the Speaker's congressional delegations are more about partying than anything else."

Charlie Brooker dissects "The News"
Statement from James O’Keefe
The government has now confirmed what has always been clear: No one tried to wiretap or bug Senator Landrieu’s office. Nor did we try to cut or shut down her phone lines. Reports to this effect over the past 48 hours are inaccurate and false.
As an investigative journalist, my goal is to expose corruption and lack of concern for citizens by government and other institutions, as I did last year when our investigations revealed the massive corruption and fraud perpetrated by ACORN. For decades, investigative journalists have used a variety of tactics to try to dig out and reveal the truth.
I learned from a number of sources that many of Senator Landrieu’s constituents were having trouble getting through to her office to tell her that they didn’t want her taking millions of federal dollars in exchange for her vote on the healthcare bill. When asked about this, Senator Landrieu’s explanation was that, “Our lines have been jammed for weeks.” I decided to investigate why a representative of the people would be out of touch with her constituents for “weeks” because her phones were broken. In investigating this matter, we decided to visit Senator Landrieu’s district office – the people’s office – to ask the staff if their phones were working.
On reflection, I could have used a different approach to this investigation, particularly given the sensitivities that people understandably have about security in a federal building. The sole intent of our investigation was to determine whether or not Senator Landrieu was purposely trying to avoid constituents who were calling to register their views to her as their Senator. We video taped the entire visit, the government has those tapes, and I’m eager for them to be released because they refute the false claims being repeated by much of the mainstream media.
It has been amazing to witness the journalistic malpractice committed by many of the organizations covering this story. MSNBC falsely claimed that I violated a non-existent “gag order.” The Associated Press incorrectly reported that I “broke in” to an office which is open to the public. The Washington Post has now had to print corrections in two stories on me. And these are just a few examples of inaccurate and false reporting. The public will judge whether reporters who can’t get their facts straight have the credibility to question my integrity as a journalist.

"Job Creation You Can Believe In", No Really......
John Maynard Keynes and F. A. Hayek "Rap It Out"
The place you should study isn’t the bust
It’s the boom that should make you feel leery, that’s the thrust
Of my theory, the capital structure is key.
Malinvestments wreck the economy
The boom gets started with an expansion of credit
The Fed sets rates low, are you starting to get it?
That new money is confused for real loanable funds
But it’s just inflation that’s driving the ones
Who invest in new projects like housing construction
The boom plants the seeds for its future destruction
The savings aren’t real, consumption’s up too
And the grasping for resources reveals there’s too few
So the boom turns to bust as the interest rates rise
With the costs of production, price signals were lies
The boom was a binge that’s a matter of fact
Now its devalued capital that makes up the slack.
Whether it’s the late twenties or two thousand and five
Booming bad investments, seems like they’d thrive
You must save to invest, don’t use the printing press
Or a bust will surely follow, an economy depressed
Your so-called “stimulus” will make things even worse
It’s just more of the same, more incentives perversed
And that credit crunch ain’t a liquidity trap
Just a broke banking system, I’m done, that’s a wrap.

6 Sorority Members Arrested

For seven nights the beatings went on, she said. In all, she was struck 201 times. On the eighth day — unable to sit, her buttocks covered with blood clots and welts — she went to the hospital. Then she reported it to the university.
Today, Rutgers police said they had arrested six members of the Rutgers chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority on charges of aggravated hazing, alleging they repeatedly beat at least three pledges between Jan. 18 and Jan. 25.The university immediately suspended the chapter , as did the sorority’s national organization, headquartered in North Carolina.
As a member of a fraternity, I am offended that any adult could engage in such behavior. How does beating someone 201 times make that person a "Better sister"?
The young pledge said she was told the beatings would "humble" her, that each flesh-rending strike with a wooden paddle would build love and trust between sorority sisters.

‘Media Malpractice at March for Life’
Here is the start of the Newsweek story. I guess they were WRONG ! !
Today is the 37th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court case legalizing abortion, and droves of women are prepared to face rainy weather to support their positions during the annual Washington, D.C., demonstrations. But there will be one major difference with the demonstration route this year—it’s shorter.
“The organizers are getting older, and it’s more difficult for them to walk a long distance,” says Stanley Radzilowski, an officer in the planning unit for the Washington, D.C., police department. A majority of the participants are in their 60s and were the original pioneers either for or against the case, he says.

Beck Lays Into Joe Klein.
Long ClipAbsolutely amazing poll results from CNN today about the $787 stimulus package: nearly three out of four Americans think the money has been wasted. On second thought, they may be right: it's been wasted on them. Indeed, the largest single item in the package--$288 billion--is tax relief for 95% of the American public. This money is that magical $60 to $80 per month you've been finding in your paycheck since last spring. Not a life changing amount, but helpful in paying the bills.

Why would I get upset. I already know what the President will say. "It is Bush's fault." and repeat "I,I,I" He might throw in a "Spending freeze" that will save $15 Billion. Too bad he already increased discretionary spending by about $140 Billion. Net spending will still be up $125 Bil.
