Creigh Deeds actually showed up.

McDonnell, Deeds make pitches at Virginia Union.

Both Candidates appeared at the university, even though Creigh Deeds was afraid to be seen on the stage with Bob McDonnell.

McDonnell said he shares President Barack Obama's support for charter schools, which operate largely independent of a central bureaucracy, as a way to revive urban educational systems.

McDonnell said later that, while there is a Democratic tradition among blacks, "I'm not writing one vote off."

Creigh Deeds, Mark R. Warner, and John H. Chichester were all on hand to remind people that
CREIGH DEEDS WILL RAISE YOUR TAXES

NY Democrat Gov Disses Obama Admin

Obama is trying to Oust Paterson. Paterson Fires Back

If you look at it from their perspective, they haven’t exactly been able to govern in the first year of their administration in the way that other administrations have, where you would have, theoretically, a period in which the new administration is allowed to pass the needed pieces of legislation.-
NY Governor David Paterson

with the healthcare legislation, they’re talking about negotiating to get one Republican senator to vote with them – they can’t get one Republican?-NY Governor David Paterson

"Let's Talk About Race"

Michael Williams is running for Senate in Texas.
He wrote the following

I have a suggestion for future discourse. Let’s leave race out of the debate unless someone clearly raises it as the rationale for their position on an issue. Instead, let’s stick to the substance of the argument for the good of the American people.

The fact is I can disagree with my president based on the politics of ideas instead of the politics of identity, and so can millions of Americans. When liberals seek to change the debate from the content of reforms to the character of their opposition, it smacks of desperation. And it makes me wonder if they have forgotten what real racism is like.

Michael Williams is a Commissioner on the Railroad Commission of Texas, which regulates the oil and gas industry. It is the state’s oldest regulatory agency. Elected statewide three times, he was elected to complete an unexpired term in November 2000. In November 2002 and 2008, they re-elected him to full six-year terms.See his web page here

Obama doesn't care about ACORN......... Yeah Right.

According to John Fund over at the Wall St. Journal............
President Obama did the following..................
In 1991, he took time off from his law firm to run a voter-registration drive for Project Vote.
In 1995, he became Acorn's attorney, participating in a landmark case to force the state of Illinois to implement the federal Motor Voter Law.
In 1996, Mr. Obama filled out a questionnaire listing key supporters for his campaign for the Illinois Senate. He put Acorn first (it was not an alphabetical list). In the U.S. Senate, Mr. Obama became the leading critic of Voter ID laws, whose overturn was a top Acorn priority. In 2007, in a speech to Acorn's leaders prior to their political arm's endorsement of his presidential campaign, Mr. Obama was effusive: "I've been fighting alongside of Acorn on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote in Illinois, Acorn was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work."
The Obama campaign also gave Citizens Consulting, Inc., an Acorn subsidiary, $832,000 for get-out-the-vote activities in key primary states.

No Vaccine for Grandma ! ! !

This is from Pharmacist.com

CDC recommends that the following groups receive the novel H1N1 influenza vaccine (in no priority order):

  • Pregnant women because they are at higher risk of complications and can potentially provide protection to infants who cannot be vaccinated.
  • Household contacts and caregivers for children younger than 6 months of age because younger infants are at higher risk of influenza-related complications and cannot be vaccinated. Vaccination of those in close contact with infants less than 6 months of age might help protect infants by “cocooning” them from the virus.
  • Health care and emergency medical services personnel because infections among health care workers have been reported, and this can be a potential source of infection for vulnerable patients. Also, increased absenteeism in this population could reduce health care system capacity.
  • All individuals aged 6 months through 24 years.
  • Children from 6 months through 18 years of age because many cases of novel H1N1 influenza have arisen in children and they are in close contact with one another in school and day care settings, which increases the likelihood of disease spread.
  • Young adults 19 through 24 years of age because many cases of novel H1N1 influenza have occurred in these healthy young adults and they often live, work, and study in close proximity and are frequently a mobile population.
  • Individuals aged 25 through 64 years who have health conditions associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza.

Energy Sec to people: YOU ARE JUST CHILDREN

Energy Secretary Steven Chu

Speaking on the sidelines of a smart grid conference in Washington, Dr. Chu said he didn’t think average folks had the know-how or will to to change their behavior enough to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions.

“The American public…just like your teenage kids, aren’t acting in a way that they should act,” Dr. Chu said. “The American public has to really understand in their core how important this issue is.”

He doesn't want to see townhall meeting on the "Tax and Tax" bill, thatwill cost each family over $1700 aa year.

No "Death Panels" for Grandma, but no vaccine either

This is from Pharmacist.com

SEE WHO IS MISSING???

The CDC, a department of the Federal Government, doesn't have Grandma on the list. Not there, go ahead , check it yourself.

There are no "death panels" in Obamacare.........

But there are no vaccines for Grandma either. If you are 65 or older, you are on your own. Tough luck.

It is still summer, and Wyoming has snow.

Older pic of Wyoming snow

US-EU rift clouds climate summit
European officials say the Obama administration lacks focus because its top talent is wrapped up in the all-consuming debate over healthcare.

Well at least one good thing is coming out of Obamacare.

Just a thought on Republicans and Dems.

If the Republicans are the party of the rich, and have to maintain rich people in order to exist,(according to the Democrats) the logic that follows is that the Dems are the party of the poor, and have to maintain poor people in order to exist.

Axelrod Says NO to expanding competition.

If it doesn't help the Dems ,then President Obama won't support it.

Video showing that Obama had NO IDEA that ACORN got our tax dollars

H/T to Real Revo

Obama Never even heard of ACORN. LOL

STEPHANOPOULOS: But have your — have some of your allies made it easier for — handed your opponents some ammunition, like ACORN, for example…

OBAMA: Well, look, the — you know, I think that — are there folks in the Democratic camp or on the left who haven’t — haven’t always operated in ways that I’d appreciate? Absolutely.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Congress said they should cut off all funding for ACORN.

OBAMA: Is — is — is…

STEPHANOPOULOS: … all funding for ACORN. Are you for that?

OBAMA: Is that true on the other side, as well? Of course that’s true.

STEPHANOPOULOS: How about the funding for ACORN?

OBAMA: You know, it’s — frankly, it’s not really something I’ve followed closely. I didn’t even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money. (Does that pass the smell test?)

STEPHANOPOULOS: Both the Senate and the House have voted to cut it off.

OBAMA: You know, what I know is, is that what I saw on that video was certainly inappropriate and deserves to be investigated.

STEPHANOPOULOS: So you’re not committing to — to cut off the federal funding?

OBAMA: George, this is not the biggest issue facing the country. It’s not something I’m paying a lot of attention to. (Honest George, I don't know anything about ACORN. I never even heard of it until this investigation. What is ACORN? Is that an environmental group? Do they get pro-bono legal work?)

"Michelle Antoinette"

The first lady picked up a straw basket and headed for the "Farm at Sunnyside" tent, where she loaded up with organic Asian pears, cherry tomatoes, multicolored potatoes, free-range eggs and, yes, two bunches of Tuscan kale. She left the produce with an aide, who paid the cashier as Obama made her way back to the limousine.

They had "tender baby arugula" -- hydroponically grown, pesticide free -- and $5 for four ounces, which is $20 a pound.
