The new taxes and fees include a 2 percent levy on every health plan

There’s also a $2 fee per policy that goes into a new medical-research trust fund called the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute.

Insurers pay a 3.5 percent user fee to sell medical plans on the HealthCare.gov Web site.(You know that will be passed on to you)

 the 2.3 percent medical-device tax that will inflate the cost of items such as pacemakers, stents and prosthetic limbs.

Americans are currently allowed to deduct expenses that exceed 7.5 percent of their annual income. The threshold jumps to 10 percent under ObamaCare, costing taxpayers about $15 billion over 10 years.

Documents provided to the House Committee on Government Oversight and Reform reveal that the Obama administration knew of security vulnerabilities within Healthcare.gov prior to Oct. 1, but launched the website anyway. Chairman Darrell Issa (R., Calif.) said Health and Human Services (HHS) officials showed a “disturbing lack of judgment” by going ahead with the site’s launch and putting Americans’ personal information at risk...............

Results of a security assessment conducted by a contractor on the site, MITRE Corporation, found that 19 security vulnerabilities remained unaddressed on Oct. 1.
Eleven of the 19 vulnerabilities “significantly impact the confidentiality, integrity and/or availability of the system data,” MITRE said.

Capitol Hill staffers who signed up for ObamaCare through the Washington, D.C., healthcare exchange, called DC Health Link (DCHL), are being told to confirm their enrollments in person, and not to rely on data provided by the website.

The Hill obtained an email sent to staffers on Wednesday warning them, “it is essential that you confirm your coverage in DCHL through the Disbursing Office.”

“Do not rely on your ‘My Account’ page or other correspondence from DCHL,” the email reads.

“Please do not assume you are covered unless you have seen the confirmation letter from the Disbursing Office,” the email continues.

You have to pass it before you know what is in it, right? 

Although few people knew about it until recently, the health law contains a three-year "risk corridor program" designed to bail out insurers if costs were higher than anticipated from too few young people enrolled.

The administration planned on 2.7 million young enrolling in the first year. Early data show that relatively few are doing so. And a Harvard University survey found less than a third of young uninsured say they plan to buy an ObamaCare exchange plan.

The Entire Town Government Can't Keep their Plan!!!

 Contrary to President Obama’s promise that “if you like your health-care plan, you can keep it,” the city manager of Bel Aire, Kansas, revealed that city's 30+ employees have just received notice that because of the Affordable Care Act, their current insurance will no longer be available. The text of the email is below:
“Bel Aire is a small city of approximately 7,000 residents. We have about 30 full-time employees and a number of part-time staff that are all very attached and dedicated to our organization. We just received notice that the health-insurance coverage employees receive through Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) is no longer available. Everyone liked that plan which had very good benefits. 

“Now, BCBS offers other plans that we can choose from based on the government’s standards.  All offer higher deductibles and the two closest to our old plan each cost more than what we were paying.  In addition, because we are under 50 employees, we no longer get a ‘group’ rate so everyone is being judged as a single.

Well lets try this on for size. You have a condom. You know it has a hole in it. Well, you can "implement it, and fix it later" or you can fix the problem before you enter into that behavior.

Pelosi said we have to implement it, to see what was in it.
Well we know there is a hole in the condom. We know many of the problems with Obamacare. Let's patch the hole we know about. Let's recind the tax on Medical Devices right away. Even Harry Reid said it was "stupid".

In a letter sent last week to President Obama, U.S. Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick contended that the Affordable Care Act had caused Sesame Place, one of Bucks County’s biggest tourist attractions, to terminate health benefits for its part-time employees.....................

A spokesman for SeaWorld, the amusement park’s parent company, confirmed Wednesday that the company was cutting the weekly work limit for part-time employees from 32 to 28 hours. Under the Affordable Care Act, companies can face fines if they do not provide insurance for staffers who work at least 30 hours per week.

Home Depot Inc. (HD), the world’s largest home improvement retailer, plans to end medical coverage for about 20,000 part-time employees and direct them to government-sponsored exchanges scheduled to open next month as companies revamp benefits to fit the U.S. Affordable Care Act.

Employees with fewer than 30 hours a week will no longer be offered limited liability medical coverage, Stephen Holmes, a spokesman, said today by telephone. About 5 percent of Atlanta-based Home Depot’s 340,000 employees are enrolled in that plan.

A Grand Rapids, Michigan report on a Kalamazoo based Stryker that had to lay off over 1,000 people due to the Obamacare medical device tax.
Late last week a Stryker spokesperson told me that Obamacare will cost the company fully 20 percent of its total research and development investments.............
