Obama Admin props up electric cars

President Barack Obama’s administration has bought almost 25% of ALL the Ford and GM hybrid vehicles sold since he took office. The Obama Admin bought at least 14,584 hybrid vehicles in the past two fiscal years.
President Obama has set a goal of 1 million plug-in vehicles on the road by 2015 and has committed more than $11 billion in taxpayer funding to help support the technology. Using the current ratio, that will probably mean the US Government will have to but 1/4 million vehicles and greatly increase consumer demand.

Just realize one point. Electric vehicles do not use cleaner energy. What they do is burn coal elsewhere, turn it into electricity, and power the cars where they are driven.
According to Hans-Dieter Schilling (Energie-Fakten), the average efficiency of all coal power stations in the world currently stand at around 31%. That means you have to burn a lot of coal to get one Kilowatt hour of energy.
