Top journalists from The New York Times, NBC News and CNN acknowledged Wednesday that, generally speaking, the national media has a liberal bias. On a Playbook Breakfast panel, the Times' Peter Baker and Mark Leibovich, NBC's Kelly O'Donnell and CNN's Jake Tapper all said "yes" when asked if the news media leans left -- though all agreed it was a nuanced issue having more to do with journalists' life experience than with any particular agenda. "Most of my colleagues, I have no idea what their politics are. ... But think about it: I live in northwest Washington, none of my neighbors are evangelical Christians, I don't know a lot of people in my kid's preschool who are pro-life," Leibovich said. "When you have conversations, at all the newspapers I've worked at, about politics -- it doesn't happen often -- but you see clues that there is absolutely a left-wing bias."

If so, then the Chinese Communists are members of the FAR RIGHT. Beijing has a fear of people from other Asian countries. Robbing Banks? Nope, Lots of groups with Communist leanings robbed banks. Even members of Bill Ayers (the President's BFF) Weather Underground committed Bank Robberies. Murdering a cop? Bill Ayer's buddies did that too.
Well, these agencies, including the Defense Department, don‘t know how much money they’ve got and for what. And I was at – forgive the expression – a Christmas party at the Department of Justice and people actually were really worried about this.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee has spoken out on the incident. “If this voicemail is authentic, which i[t] appears to be, it is deeply disturbing,”said NRSC communications director Brian Walsh in a statement.“It should trouble all Americans that any member of the media would attempt to purposefully smear a nominee for the U.S. Senate. CBS owes an immediate explanation to Joe Miller and his campaign.”

Senior executives, on-air personalities, producers, reporters, editors, writers and other self-identifying employees of ABC, CBS and NBC contributed more than $1 million to Democratic candidates and campaign committees in 2008, according to an analysis by The Examiner of data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics.
The Democratic total of $1,020,816 was given by 1,160 employees of the three major broadcast television networks, with an average contribution of $880.
By contrast, only 193 of the employees contributed to Republican candidates and campaign committees, for a total of $142,863. The average Republican contribution was $744.
It is true that the view has thrown softball questions at most Dem's, but I think that the White House press corp kinda resembles something else these days.....

In the past, I had thought the Newsleader editorial board was staffed with a few well intentioned liberal-leaning journalists. With Tuesday's editorial I realize I was wrong. The board is made of some full time Democrat Party Apparatchiks.
The editorial was nothing but Democrat talking points and "progressive" group think. 34 Democrats break away from the party, and you call it unity. "Almost Immediate" delivery of new benefits is contradicted on the previous page of the paper. Your Rush Limbaugh line was so pathetically wrong that it is laughable. Any honest journalist knows that is not what he said.
The editorial says Republicans had "no viable alternatives." Even Speaker Pelosi was less partisan than the Newsleader. She said that there were 200 Republican Amendments included in the final bill.
The worst part of the editorial was the last paragraph, concerning the comparison of the Tea Party movement to racism. The Democrat party is and has been the party that divides people by race. It is the home of Ku Klux Klanner Robert Byrd. It is the party of Jim Crow and Black Codes. It was Democrat Sen.Harry Reid who called President Obama " a light skinned" man without "a negro dialect". President Clinton said that President Obama would be fetching coffee for him and Ted Kennedy.
The very first Black, Mexican, and female members of Congress were all Republicans. It was the first Republican President who sent Americans to die to end the evil of slavery. It was a Republican who wrote the Emancipation Proclamation. It was Democrats who filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Acts. It was Republican Senator Everett Dirksen wrote the language for the 1965 Voting Rights Act and the 1968 Civil Rights Bill. A. Phillip Randolph, a Republican organized Republican Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's March on DC for his famous "I have a dream" speech. It is the Republican Party that wants people to be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin.
CBS's Chip Reid on Tuesday night tried to discredit anti-ObamaCare protesters, claiming “at times, it got ugly.” I guess they forgot to record the ugly part.... They called this video "Ugly" Harry Reid announced over the hallway video: “Moving inside, they tried to lobby undecided Democrats. At times, it got ugly.”

A Yolo County judge on Monday sentenced a man who walked out of a store with a package of cheese in his trousers to seven years and eight months in prison. You read that and you say WOW. Read a little further down and you find out that the shoplifter, Robert Ferguson was a career criminal who wouldn't change. He had 13 prior convictions and had spent 22 of the past 27 years behind bars, yet still would not obey the law, the prosecutor said. He got his 7 years for being a career criminal.
