Sarah Palin is baking up a little controversy in Pennsylvania. She was the guest speaker last night at a fundraiser at Plumstead Christian School in Plumstead Township…
"I look at Pennsylvania and I think of sweets - I think of Hershey. Then I think, how dare they ban sweets from school here," said Palin…
Before her Bucks County speech, she tweeted that she intended to bring the students cookies to make her point about "laissez faire government."
"I brought dozens and dozens of cookies. I had to shake it up for you guys, especially the press okay."

Pennsylvaina says, "JUST SAY NO" to cupcakes????
The Pennsylvania State Board of Education expects to vote this spring on new nutrition guidelines for food served at school, said Adam Schott, the board's executive director.
The rules would limit the number of parties to one classroom birthday celebration a month, and no more than three holiday parties a year. They must be held after lunch.
The state could withhold or rescind state and federal reimbursements for districts that don't comply. The state could revoke approval for vending machines from offending districts.

This video is going viral after being renamed
I think it is unfair to place the blame on President Obama. The US has been becoming a nanny state for many years. The people are becoming more accustomed to the government and others doing more and more for the people.
I was shoveling the road in front of my driveway and I was asked,"Why are you doing that?" I said because the plows won't get it all. I want to have a smooth ride out of my driveway. I continued, if everyone that was able to, did it, then we would have cleared roads quicker. We wouldn't have to wait for the government in order to get back to normal.
When I was younger, I lived next to a bus stop. My dad and myself would shovel the snow enough for people to get off bus comfortably. It was a little extra work for us, but it made life better and safer for bus riders. If we waited for the government to do it, it usually gets done, but there would have been a lot of bus riders with slush covered legs first.

YOU WILL EAT BREAKFAST AT SCHOOL ! ! ! !
Nanny State Overload
In a locally unprecedented move, the School District of Philadelphia will hold principals accountable for the number of students eating breakfast in their schools.Breakfast participation will be part of the report card that rates principals each year, along with categories such as attendance and math and reading performance. All 165,000 students in Philadelphia public schools, regardless of income, are eligible for free breakfasts. But just 54,000 ate breakfast last year, district figures show...............
Jonathan Stein, a lawyer with Community Legal Services, whose efforts - along with those of Public Citizens for Children and Youth (PCCY) - helped bring about the move....."This is the first accountability system for school meals in the history of the school system," Stein said. "It's very exciting."
