Did you know that unemployment hit 17.1%???

Not if you just listen to the mainstream media.
The U.S. jobless rate rose to 9.9% in April, the first increase in three months, but the government’s broader measure of unemployment ticked up for the third month in a row, rising 0.2 percentage point to 17.1%.
Everywhere the press are touting "job growth" and "job creation". Where is the talk about 17.1% of the people out of work?
The President can hype the numbers,"Oh look at all these new jobs." The reality is that there are lots of people still out of work.
The April report showed that the number of people unemployed for 27 weeks or more rose by 169,000 to 6.7 million

  1. "The President can hype the numbers!"

Boy, can he hype the numbers!

Can I qoute Joe Wilson here? "Sir, you LIE!"

Manufacturing, construction and a lot of key sectors are critically underemployed even when they have work.

The numbers are BAD, reality is WORSE. Think about it. You can buy a piece of specialized excavating equipment for less than a minivan now, at least over at Frontier Drive. People ask me all the time if they know anyone who needs a good __________ [fill in name of trade].

Where are the jobs created? Mr. President?
