The time is unquestionably ripe for a new Contract With America. It only makes sense to nationalize the election, in response to the growing discontent voters feel, according to HotAir.com
The new Contract With America should feature massive reductions in government spending as a centerpiece.
The new Contract should shatter the ridiculous myths Democrats have been concocting about their failed policies.
Republicans should vow to bring transparency and accountability to the shady maze of back alleys and smoke-filled rooms of Washington.
The new Contract With America must, inevitably, address health care. The Republicans should take this opportunity to explain how government intervention has caused many of the problems that exist in the health care system.
The new Contract With America should include a firm commitment to America’s defense.
The Republicans should pledge to hold regular, well-attended meetings with their constituents, and promise that both supporters and dissenters will be kept safe, and respected.
These ideas, and many other worthwhile proposals, must be expressed in both practical and moral language.
I could not have said it better. Your use of common sense over ideology and contentious arguements over such issues as gay marriage and abortion is refreshing. That is how the Republicans should market themselves just as you wrote and would gain the independant vote, and the party would lift themselves above partisanship, and put the country first. This lack of factionalism would have made Washington and Adams proud. Issues such as I stated above are for one's personal conscience and should be handled by the states with reason. No one has the velvet glove on morality save the L--D. Great Job defending our way of life and our heritage.
