Senator Kerry tries some Orwellian "doubleplusgood"

Boxer and Kerry are set to release Senate version of "Cap and trade" Bill
Or is it Cap and Tax?
Or is it a Pollution Reduction Bill?
Kerry last week sought to change the vernacular surrounding the climate bill and sell its concepts more broadly, insisting it is not a "cap and trade" proposal but a "pollution reduction" bill. "I don't know what 'cap and trade' means. I don't think the average American does," Kerry said. "This is not a cap-and-trade bill, it's a pollution reduction bill"

"No matter the semantic games employed, or the extent to which Democrats wish to hide the truth from the American people, cap and trade will mean more job losses, more pain at the pump, and higher food and electricity prices for consumers," said EPW Committee ranking member James Inhofe (R-Okla.)."

Bush "Czars" . Just like Obama, Right???

The American Prospect, Think Progress, The DNC, etc are complaining that President George W. Bush had Czars. In an article by the American Prospect it mentions a number of Czars. The author,Steve Benen mentions some specific jobs. The same with Think Progress.

YES, George W. Bush had a drug czar. Bush's czars included a Katrina czar, a food safety czar,a regulatory czar, a Bird flu czar,an intelligence Czar, an AIDS Czar.

John Walters, Donald Powell, Richard Clark, Stewart Simosen, John Negroponte, John D. Graham, Randell Tobias were all Bush Czar's.

The Dems are right.

Bush had Czars.....

BUT......

The Czars they are complaining about, that are listed above, all had Senate Confirmation.

Karl Rove Didn't. Whoops.
