Well Ed, What have Republicans been wrong about?

Ed Martin over at the Daily Kos states......"Republicans call us liberals. Think about that. Why should any rational person allow themselves to be defined by people who have been wrong about everything?"

Well Ed, What have Republicans been wrong about?

Let us go back to the origins of the Republican Party.
Hey Ed, Were they wrong about ending slavery? After the Civil War, the first two African Americans elected to Congress were Republicans. Not in the 1970's. 100 years prior, in the 1870's.
Hey Ed, does the name Romouldo Pacheco mean anything to you? He was the First Mexican American elected to Congress. He was a Republican.
Hey Ed, Benjamin Harrison, A republican, signed the 1890 Forest Reserve Act. It gave us our first national parks. In 1906, a Republican Congress passed legislation to stop looting of historically significant artifacts on public lands.
Hey Ed, How about Woman's suffrage? The Republicans were the first major party to support it. 26 of the 36 states that ratified the 19th Amendment were under Republican control. Federal Aid Highway Act developed our interstates. The 1st female congresswoman was Jeanette Rankin, a Republican.
Hey Ed, Eisenhower and the Republicans pushed the 1957 and 1960 Civil Rights Acts. That established the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ. JFK voted AGAINST that.
Hey Ed, Nixon started the EPA. Was that wrong Ed? The EPA was established on December 2, 1970 to consolidate in one agency a variety of federal research, monitoring, standard-setting and enforcement activities to ensure environmental protection. We can argue about where it went wrong.
Hey Ed, did you like the Cold War? Reagan ended that.
Hey Ed, do you like the Americans with Disabilities Act? That was George H.W.Bush.
Hey Ed, Are you on the side of the Dems re: the NSA? Bengazi? the IRS abuse? Fast and Furious?
