The War on Women= Tampon Earrings?

In defense of abortion rights, MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry removed her regular earrings in the middle of her show Sunday and replaced them with…tampon earrings.
Or was it the floundering ratings of MSNBC, trying to draw childish viewers?
