Reunion is a French island of about 800,000 people located in the Indian Ocean. Réunion is one of the 26 regions of France, similar to a state. It was uninhabited as of 1635. 20 people from France colonized the island in 1665. The island was named Île Bourbon in 1649

  1. I really enjoy your blog. I'm 99% sure that bird is not a shearwater, though. Shearwaters are pelagic birds like gulls.
