Dee Snider has town named after him.

It does not appear to be a joke.

For Dee Snider, what started as a joking request led the town of Cridersville, Ohio, to officially change its name for a day to Snidersville in honor of Dee Snider - became a reality. The front man for the 1980's heavy metal band Twisted Sister and national spokesman for March of Dimes Bikers for Babies was marked in the most honorable way by having the town named after him for a day in tribute to the contributions and effort he's made to the March of Dimes.
