Background Bio:
Dickie Bell was born and raised in Staunton, educated in the public schools, and attended JMU and Old Dominion University. He was a Navy hospital corpsman during the Vietnam era and is a member and deacon of Memorial Baptist Church.
Del. Bell currently is a special education teacher at Riverheads High School in Augusta County where he also coaches boys' soccer. He won election to delegate in November 2009 standing on a common sense approach to government, lower taxes, small government, funding of core services, the right to life, the right to work, the right to bear arms, and quality education.
