Katharine Hepburn Honored with New Stamp

Katharine Hepburn's picture was used for a new 44 cent stamp.

The US Postal Service yesterday issued a stamp immortalizing Katharine Hepburn on what would have been her 103rd birthday.

The dedication ceremony took place at the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook, Conn.

The 44-cent, first-class stamp -- based on a publicity still from one of Hepburn's Oscar-nominated movies, "Woman of the Year" (1942) -- went on sale Thursday.

  1. She is definitely one of my all time favorite actresses. In fact, we just watched "Desk Set" the other night.
