Chester asks for judge’s recusal after sanctions

The Churchville lawyer, Francis Chester, leading the Augusta County reassessment fight wants the judge who fined and sanctioned him to decline to preside over any of his future cases.

“I made this emphatic … that I want this to be a permanent thing,” Francis Chester said, referring to the letter he filed Tuesday asking that county Judge Victor V. Ludwig recuse himself from Chester’s cases.
