George Gordon Battle Liddy was the chief operative for the Nixon White House. Liddy did not directly participate in the Watergate break-in.He admitted to supervising the break-in from another hotel across the street. For his crimeLiddy was convicted of conspiracy, burglary and illegal wiretapping. Liddy served four and a half years in prison for his role in the burglary.
