See what they are teaching kids in school today

When I was in school we learned to recite these:

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

  1. I'm sure the school children in Cuba and North Korea are forced to memorize similar diatribes for their Dear Leaders...

  2. I had a friend who was born in Italy. When she was a child in Sicily, she was forced to recite speeches praising Mussolini. She understood not one thing she was saying. Her family fled to America. Before her passing she still spat at the sound of his name. Grab them between the ages of 6-16 and they are theirs. The cult comes before family and country. This is why I would have kept my kids home when he spoke. I worship G-D not big ears.
