Wilson Statement on Potential House Resolution
WASHINGTON – Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) issued the following statement today responding to reports that the House Democrat leadership plans to bring a resolution of reprimand against him to the House floor.
“The American people are fed up with the political games in Washington, and I refuse to participate in an effort to divert our attention away from the task at hand of reforming health insurance and creating new jobs. Having apologized on Wednesday to the White House, we agreed that we must move forward in a civil manner to do the work the American people have sent us here to do. Health insurance reform is too important to take a backseat to political partisanship.”
Through out American History this is nothing new. During yhe 19th century it was way worse. Besides Wilson told the truth and I have heard the Democrats use their form of vitriole. Me thinks Mr. Wilson went to the Andy Jackson, I love that guy, school of self expression. This is all hooey meant to distract people from the real issues at hand. our President keeps talking, does nothing, and is in love with all that is Anti-American. This is not change...George Mcgovern does not even understand this man.
