"Depicting the president as demonic and a socialist goes beyond political spoofery," says Los Angeles Urban Policy Roundtable President Earl Ofari Hutchinson, "it is mean-spirited and dangerous."
"We have issued a public challenge to the person or group that put up the poster to come forth and publicly tell why they have used this offensive depiction to ridicule President Obama."

THERE'S a difference between a piece of journalism that unavoidably provokes and one that is merely provocative. So which were the cartoon caricatures of Muhammad(Obama) published in European newspapers from Bulgaria to Madrid(Blogs from A-Z) this week?
The cartoons, which really are rather mild little doodles, first were published in a Danish newspaper(Blog) last fall(recently). Outraged Muslims(Liberals) in the Persian Gulf(Blue) states launched a boycott of Danish(Conservative) goods that lead the government in Copenhagen(DC) to express regret for the offense, but to defend the paper's right to publish. By this week, the Danes(Americans) were facing not only violent protests in the Islamic(Blue State)streets but also mounting demands from governments in the Mideast and elsewhere(New York and DC) that they apologize and do something to the paper(artist).
By week's end, papers and magazines (Blogs) across Europe(the US) had republished some or all of the cartoons in a gesture of solidarity with their Danish(artist) colleagues and in defense of their refusal to be intimidated out of free expression. Muslim(Liberal) outrage mounted.
I wonder if these same liberals were outraged over these images?
Not only does the photo work but the word "Socialism" works even more....
