You need to do more research. The NEA gave funds to Frameline who showed Thundercrack, a movie produced in 1974, at a festival. Big deal. Sometimes art is about sex and taboo. Grow up and deal. And study yr art history.
The question is not about art history. I don't give a hoot what they show. What the complaint is that we are funding this with our tax dollars. If we are leaping into debt of monumental proportions, should we be spending money on entertainment? If you are facing bankruptcy, are you going out to broadway? Well that is what our government is doing. Stop throwing $$$ at discretionary spending until we get the books in order.
